In December 2015 I quit my full time job as a Service Designer, packed up my bags and headed off to Co. Cork in Ireland to begin my culinary adventures at Ballymaloe Cookery School.

Welcome to Ballymaloe

Needless to say, I found living in the middle of this 100 acre organic farm and cooking every day to be completely inspirational. I had a lot to say! This is where the Sweet Salt blog was born, as a journal of my time at Ballymaloe. While it’s no longer the sole focus of this website, memories of this time are too precious to remove entirely.  So all the writing and pictures of my 12 week Ballymaloe journey can be found here.
